The Project's Mission
Statement
The project aims to deliver
a client centred approach, drawing on the strengths
of carious agencies and interventions to offer a
seamless service to empower each individual client
to work towards a drug free status, with an underlying
philosophy of harm reduction.
Referral Pathways
Self-referral is the preferred
rout though the project does accept professional
referrals. A client may drop in on Thursday or telephone
to make an appointment. The project works with clients
registered with a Stainforth GP. Though under 18s,
pregnant women and clients outside of this remit
will be assessed and referred to the appropriate
agency.
Advice & Information
Leaflets and verbal information are available on
all substances. This correlates to the current harm
reduction strategy/law. Information is also available
on a wide range of issues including housing; employment;
education; legal issues; benefits and health. Sign
posting and advocacy are also a key part of this
intervention.
Needle Exchange etc:
Gym can be accessed by clients free of charge.
Youth Centre Drop-In every Tuesday afternoon 2pm-4pm,
a variety of sporting activities are available as
well as access to the internet, and peer support
through our client representative.
